Celebrate our 10th edition International Week Health & Social Studies 2022
This year we celebrate our 10th edition of the HAN International Week Health & Social Studies from 2 to 4 February 2022. During this week students and lecturers share experiences and knowledge related to the international context of health and social work. The general theme this year is 'Celebrate'!
Many social issues do not stop at international borders. That is why HAN university organizes this international week. The activities are intended for the more than 2000 second-year students and lecturers of the study programmes:
- Social Work
- Educational Theory
- Arts and Psychomotor Therapies
- Allied Medical Care
- Occupational Therapy
Do you want to contribute?: Call for particpiation
We warmly invite you to particpiate in our 10th International Week. The general theme is 'Celebrate'. Celebrate the 10th International Week', celebrate exploring borders in health and social work and celebrate with you as our partner.
Topics for workshops and presentations may include, but are not limited to:
• Healthy communities
• Interprofessional collaboration
• Globalization, migration and refugees
• Intercultural communication
• Community development
• Public health
We are looking for inspiring ideas and ‘good practices’ related to this year’s theme that will help students reflect on their roles as health/social workers. We encourage our students to learn about developments in health and social work in an international perspective. We kindly ask all contributors to work with the studentst in an interactive, practical and creative way. We suggest starting with examples from professional practice and linking those to theory. This approach helps students relate to the material.
We strive to offer as much of the program as we can on location, though we provide for hybrid and online possibilities. If you would like to contribute to the International Week, please complete the participation form. You can register until October 31.
