Intro program: Electrical and Electronic Engineering

The introduction for Electrical and Electronic Engineering starts on Tuesday 25 August. A week full of fun and information. Information about your program, your classmates and fellow HAN students. And about your university. Will you be joining in? Find out here what to expect.

Tuesday 25 August: Kick-off

We would like to make you feel at home quickly so you get a good start to your studies. The sooner you get to know your classmates, lecturers, support staff and the HAN IT systems, the easier it will be. Because of national COVID19 measures we face limitations in the building capacity. That means we can only receive each class on campus one day a week. For the time being, lessons will take place online for the rest of the week.

Because of that it could take a long time before you know each other and before you feel at home. We don’t want that, so please be at the kickoff! The Electrical and Electronic Engineering Kick-off program for international students takes place on Tuesday 25 August in the afternoon.

14:00 - Check in at the central hall (building Ruitenberglaan 26, Arnhem).

14:00 - 16:30 - From the central hall, you’ll be guided to a classroom. There you’ll get to know the fellow students in your learning team and your coach. Your learning team is a group of about 10 students. You’ll work intensively with them, especially in the 1st year.

  • Introduction to classes, online content and meeting your teachers
  • Review timetable and details on Corona measures
  • Projct group composition and project kick-off
  • Purchase development kit from the Applied Research Lab Engineering (ARLE)

You'll also get to know your learning team coach, the other staff, see the building and get a tour of the HAN ICT systems. And, of course, there is plenty of room for practical questions, so that you get a good start to your studies (which begin on 31 August).

Can't make it?

It is important that you are present at this introduction because the project groups will be composed based on your presence. You are expected at 14:00 o'clock at the reception desk, in the campus building Ruitenberglaan 26 in Arnhem.

If you really can't make it to this introduction, please let us know. Contact lecturer Ruud Elsinghorst by email at or call/Whatsapp: 0031 655208776
