The online intro for Life Sciences begins in the week of 24 August. It's a 3-day program packed with information, activities and games. Get to know your lecturers and classmates and have lots of fun in the meantime! Will you be joining in? Find out what to expect here.

An intro using Teams How it works

Once you've signed up, you'll get a link to join your team in Microsoft Teams. This team is in fact your class for semester 1: a mixture of Dutch and international students of Life Sciences and Chemistry. We'll use Microsoft Teams for all our activities during the intro.

Depending on your team, your intro program will start on either Monday 24 or Tuesday 25 August. We'll let you know that after you've signed up.

Day 1 A warm welcome and a challenge...

Day 1 begins with a warm welcome from the Dean of the School of Applied Biosciences and Chemistry, Beatrijs Linford. Next you get to know your team and buddies through interviews and games. The last activity for the day is a really fun group challenge.

Day 2 Roll up your sleeves

Day 2 starts with the results of the group challenge. See what other groups came up with. Present your group’s result. Next it’s time to roll up your sleeves and put your apron on for a cooking workshop!

Day 3 Get thinking

Day 3 starts with games organized by 2nd-year students. Then it’s question time. Anything you or your class is not sure about? Your study coach will answer all your questions. The final activity on the intro program is a pub quiz. Get your thinking caps on!
