Intro program: Mechanical Engineering
The online introduction for Mechanical Engineering starts on Thursday 27 August. A week full of fun and information. Information about your program, your classmates and fellow HAN students. And about your university. Will you be joining in? Find out here what to expect.
Thursday 27 August: Kick-off
We would like to make you feel at home quickly so you get a good start to your studies. The sooner you get to know your classmates, lecturers, support staff and the HAN IT systems, the easier it will be. Because of national COVID19 measures we face limitations in the building capacity. That means we can only receive each class on campus one day a week. For the time being, lessons will take place online for the rest of the week.
Because of that it could take a long time before you know each other and before you feel at home. We don’t want that, so please be at the kickoff! The Mechanical Engineering Kick-off program (for international students) takes place on Thursday 27 August in the afternoon.
- From 14:00 - 14:30 - Welcome to HAN
Check in at the central hall (building 26: Ruitenberglaan 26, Arnhem).
- 14:00 - 16:30 - Mechanical Engineering kick-off
The official program for the Mechanical Engineering kick-off takes place in your learning team. This will not be a massive gathering. From the central hall, you’ll be guided to a classroom. There you’ll get to know the fellow students in your learning team and your coach. Your learning team is a group of about 10 students. You’ll work intensively with them, especially in the 1st year.
You'll also get to know your learning team coach, the other staff, see the building and get a tour of the HAN ICT systems. And, of course, there is plenty of room for practical questions, so that you get a good start to your studies (which begin on 31 August).
Monday 31 August
A warm welcome on behalf of the Amoras student association via Microsoft Teams. The timeslot will appear in your timetable, so keep an eye on it! Part of this talk is an explanation of a really great game: Crazy 88.
