You can charge your electric car on the Arnhem campus. The rate for this is € 0.20/kWh including VAT. There is 4-hour limit for a parking space with a charging station. You’ll need to indicate the time you arrive with a blue parking disc. These are available at every HAN reception desk.
The charging stations are in the parking lots at:
- Ruitenberglaan 26
- Ruitenberglaan 31
The charging stations are universally equipped and are activated with a card and cables which you need to provide yourself.
Parking on campus in Nijmegen
The parking lots on campus in Nijmegen are accessible via a barrier. The parking garage under Laan van Scheut 10 and the outdoor parking at Kapittelweg 33 can fill up quickly on busy days. A good alternative is the underground parking garage at Kapittelweg 35, where parking is always available. This may mean you have to walk a little further to the building where you need to be.

Access via barrier
The barriers open after scanning your HANCard or a BAR code (which has been sent to you). Are you a one-time visitor without a card or code? Announce yourself on the intercom to gain access to the parking lot.
To avoid dangerous situations, motorcyclists in Nijmegen should use the bypasses (side paths along the barriers) when entering and exiting the parking lot. The barriers at Kapittelweg 33 and 35 and Verlengde Groenestraat 75 have bypasses. The barriers at Laan van Scheut 10 do not (so please enter at another site).
