To Japan for studies
Information meeting with Dort Spierings
Starting in 2017, students from the School of Built Environment had the opportunity to complete flexible minors and graduation projects during 8-12 weeks in Japan. They visit partner universities and companies and get to know this fascinating country that combines a modern society with beautiful traditions and surroundings. Toyo University in Tokyo and Kyushu University in Fukuoka became official partners, which makes the exchanges easier.
Are you interested in doing a flexible minor, a graduation project or would you like to hear the experiences of students who have already been to Japan? Then come to this meeting!

Upper Citarum River Restoration in West Java
Presentations and workshop with Jeroen Rijke
In this workshop, students will work together to develop a restoration strategy for the Upper Citarum River near the Bandung metropolitan area on West Java, Indonesia. The Citarum is one of the world’s most polluted rivers, and severe problems with erosion, sedimentation and flooding are common there. Mini-lectures by HAN researchers and partners have been set up to inspire and guide student teams to create an online poster exhibition to highlight ideas for a sustainable future for the Upper Citarum.
