The intro program
It’s about to begin! In the week of August 26, we will welcome you to the HAN Campus. We are looking forward to meeting you in person! On this page, you can find all the information for a great introduction week in the Chemistry program and the best possible start of your studies!
Intro Program Chemistry - fulltime
During the introduction week for internationals, there are 2 different options. The first option is to participate in the full introduction program. During this program, you will sleep at the camp and won't have time to do other things such as looking for housing or buying items for your stay in the Netherlands. The second option is to participate as a daytime visitor. With this option, you only take part in activities outside the camp.

Once you have made the payment, you are registered. In July, an additional information booklet will be sent to you, including a packing list.

If you're not participating in the introduction of Chemistry or Life Sciences but still want to attend the free Open Up Festival in Nijmegen or the Open Up Sunrise Festival in Arnhem, you can! You don't need to sign up for that. As a new student, you can pick up an Open Up wristband 2024 in the Open Up Area on the HAN campus or at the entrance of the festival.

Cost
The complete introduction program costs €100.
These costs include accommodation, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.The daytime visitor program costs €50.
These costs include participation in the activitiesAre you only coming to the Open Up Festival or Open Up Sunrise Festival? It's free for all new students of the HAN. Get your access pass (Open Up wristband 2024) at the Open Up Area or at the festival entrance.

Medication and allergies
Do you have any medications or allergies? Please include them in the registration form for the introduction. This ensures that the week runs smoothly. If you have any doubts about medications or allergies, please send us an email: introductie@svreactievat.nl
OPEN UP AREA
The Open Up Area is your base camp in the Introduction Week. For example, You can go here with questions about your program, or if you cannot find the building or room. It is the meeting place on the HAN campus with a cozy terrace and (live) music.
Make sure to stop by the Open Up Area to pick up your entrance ticket for the Open Up Sunrise Festival on Thursday.

You are on the brink of taking a big step in your life. Full of excitement… student life awaits. HAN literally opens its doors for you during the Open Up Introduction week.
THE STUDENT ASSOCIATION OF THE ACADEMY OF APPLIED BIOSCIENCES AND CHEMISTRY
With the start of your studies, your student life also begins! A fun time together with other students. You'll meet them, for example, at 't Reactievat, the student association for students of the Chemie, BML, Bioinformatics, Life Science, and Chemistry programs! A student association is only for students and is also run by students from your program. You exchange knowledge and participate in interesting activities related to your studies, such as lectures, fairs, and study trips. Of course, there's also time for parties and drinks. You make lifelong friends here and build your network from day one. Not only is 't Reactievat a student association but also a close-knit family for its active members. And did you know that 't Reactievat also organizes the introduction?
