A Unique International Project for Social Work
From June 24 to 27, the first ‘International Social Work Learning Lab’ (ISWLL) will take place. This is a unique opportunity for students of the Social Work program at HAN to develop interculturally and connect internationally.

What does it involve?
From June 24 to 27, 2025, Social Work students from three universities will come to Arnhem: University of West Attica, Hochschule Koblenz, and University College Dublin. Each of these students will be paired with a student from Social Work and International Social Work. Together, the students will follow a wonderful program filled with discussions, workshops, field trips, and lectures on topics currently shaping the international social work field. Topics include superdiversity, cross-cultural community building, and climate justice. Of course, there will also be ample time in the program to eat together and get to know each other.
Why participate?
This unique experience will help students develop into a culturally competent and internationally oriented Social Worker. At ISWLL, they will have the opportunity to learn about our fascinating, complex profession and how it is practiced in different countries. They will learn to work more sensitively to culture by meeting and conversing with people from different backgrounds. In addition, during the program, they will build an international network.
