HAN quits X
At HAN University of Applied Sciences, we have decided to quit using X (formerly Twitter) as a communication platform.
In recent years, our reach on X has declined compared to other platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram. We’ve also observed issues on X including disinformation, fake accounts, online harassment, racism, and discrimination, and there is a lack of monitoring and moderation. For these reasons, we will stop using X. This means we will no longer post or respond to others on the platform. Our corporate account will be closed soon. On HAN.nl and Insite, the X-button has already been removed. All schools with their own X accounts have been instructed to cancel them.
Other social media
Other social media channels, such as Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn, are currently also under discussion. Colleagues from various areas of expertise are involved in ongoing discussions and will continue to monitor developments in the social media landscape.
