The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program from the School of Built Environment will take place from May 18 to 24, 2025! Together with our partners we provide workshops and lectures on topics related to the built environment, supplemented with social events. Meet and collaborate with students from other countries who study the same as you.

Join us for the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (International Week Built Environment)! We are excited to welcome you to our School of Built Environment in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
Our school and programs are committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, so this International Week will feature a variety of topics centered around sustainability. You can look forward to engaging lectures, interactive workshops, and enriching excursions.
Excursion: "Windmills, Cheese, and Canals"
Want to explore the iconic highlights of the Netherlands? Extend your stay with an optional excursion on the Saturday following International Week (May 24). The tour concludes in Amsterdam, offering a perfect end to your visit!

Are you studying Architecture Engineering and Design or Civil Engineering? Would you like to connect with fellow students from around the world? Join us for engaging lectures, workshops, excursions, and social events during the International Week Built Environment!

€250 for general participants
No fee for HAN Partner institutions
If you’d like to join the excursion on Saturday, an additional €150 will apply.

Monday, May 19
Kick off the International Week Built Environment 2025 with an inspiring mix of sessions and activities! From the official opening to dialogues on global citizenship, learning Dutch, exploring Smart Grids, and campus tours to networking at the BE-Global Café—there’s something for everyone!
Tuesday, May 20
Day 2 of the International Week Built Environment 2025 offers exciting activities! Tackle heat stress in urban areas, design a railroad underpass, and enjoy a refreshing lunch walk. Wrap up with the thrilling City Escape Arnhem - solve riddles, explore the city, and celebrate with drinks and snacks!
Wednesday, May 21
Day 3 of the International Week Built Environment 2025 features an unforgettable excursion! Discover the impressive Oosterschelde Storm Surge Barrier, a vital part of the Netherlands’ Delta Works, and learn how innovative engineering protects the country from devastating floods. A must-see experience!
Thursday, May 22
Day 4 of the International Week Built Environment 2025 is packed with variety! Design self-sufficient tiny houses, tackle heat stress projects, join a field trip by bike, and enjoy tailored social events. Staff can savor a culinary walk, while students can network and have fun with Trifonius!
Friday, May 23
Day 5 wraps up the International Week Built Environment 2025 in style! Students present innovative solutions to heat stress challenges, and the event concludes with a bike trip to Arnhem’s Open Air Museum. Discover Dutch history, culture, and craftsmanship before the official closure.
Saturday, May 24
If you extend your stay by one day, you can join us on the "Windmills, Cheese, and Canals" excursion. We'll take you to explore some of the highlights of the Netherlands. You can sign up for the excursion on the registration form. More details will be shared throughout the week.

Exchange Courses and Internships
HAN University of Applied Sciences offers loads of professional programs in a wide range of fields. Students can choose from 63 bachelor programs, 19 master programs and numerous exchange programs. All of which combine a solid theoretical basis with practical application in the field. So they’re well positioned to enter the job market as soon as they graduate. HAN offers 5 English-taught bachelor programs and 2 English-taught master programs within the field of Engineering & Life Sciences. We have around 1,000 students from 30 different countries. And our main objective is to enhance employability and internationalization.
