Engineering Systems: quick facts
Tracks within the master engineering systems
Choose from the following tracks:
Control Systems engineeringControl systems are a part of everyday life. They’re used in robotic applications. In steering and tracking devices. Renewable energy installations. The list goes on. This master degree gives you the ins and outs of advanced control systems and techniques. Work anywhere in the technical sector!
Automotive Systems engineeringOur views on mobility are changing. Hybrid and fully electrical vehicles are now a common sight. And the technology that powers them is developing faster than ever. Keen to be part of these developments? Apply for this automotive master program and start working on the clean vehicles of the future!
Embedded SystemsComplex industrial processes require advanced solutions. Learn all about these in the Master in Embedded Systems. You get the skills to model complex dynamic systems. To design and test software. And you become an expert on digital techniques and microcontrollers.
Lean EngineeringTechnology helps us to improve processes and products. But it also impacts companies. Even the whole supply chain. That’s where the Lean Engineer comes in. With this master degree you can make the link between the latest technologies and a company’s business processes. A highly valuable skill!
Sustainable EnergySustainable and renewable energy systems are crucial to the energy transition. Engineers are needed to develop and fine-tune these systems. Want to master up your engineering skills and specialize in this rewarding new field? Sign up for the Sustainable Energy master track at HAN!
Program: What do you learn?
This engineering system master program gives you the fundamentals of modelling and control systems. It also gives you lots of options to specialize within the engineering field. You then follow modules specific to your chosen master track. Finally, you get to apply your knowledge and skills in a major project. The setting? Either industry or research.
Careers: What can you do with this degree?
As a graduate of the Master in Engineering Systems, you are able to apply research to solve complex problems, for the development of innovations that meet the needs of the market and/or society, as opposed to conducting only academic research. You have thorough knowledge and skills in the area of Engineering Systems along with an international orientation. This is developed through internationally oriented modules and teaching methods, an international student population and close contacts with globally operating businesses.
The Dutch way of learning
The atmosphere in a Dutch classroom is quite informal and your lecturers are easy to talk to. In fact, at HAN you’re seen as a partner in the learning process.
