Students and staff get latest insights from the HAN BioCentre and via various other contacts with the professional field. The HAN BioCentre conducts practice-oriented research together with students, aimed at responsible and smart use of the living nature.
R&D skills and project management
You continue to work on your R&D (research and development) skills and learn about project management so you can independently plan and run projects in life sciences. To achieve this level of independence within two years, you need to have practical skills and experience in research before you start this master program.

You directly apply what you learn during the program in your internship or at your current work.

Molecular Life Sciences: quick facts
What do you learn?
The molecular life sciences program enriches your knowledge. In molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology and data analysis, to name a few. At the same time, you learn how to effectively design and manage projects. What kind of projects? Developing vaccines, medicines and diagnostic tests to name a few. You also learn the basics of quality control, regulations and patents. Your internship throughout the 2-years program allows you to immediately apply what you learned in practice.
What can you do with this master of science?
This master of science gives you the skills to design and manage projects. In different areas of biotechnology. You can work for companies in the pharmaceutical industry, personal health care, plant biotech, biobased research or the food and feed industry. Or you can pursue your career at a university, hospital or private research institute.

Study in part-time?
Do you already have a job in the field? Are you an EU/EEA citizen and can you get to Nijmegen at least once a fortnight? Why not study in part-time? Follow the modules at your own pace. Complete the assignments at your place of work. Your company benefits because you gear the assignments to their needs. The part-time program takes from 2 to 4 years.
